Program Manager

Who Are We Looking For?

The Youth Specialists are a group of passionate, creative and involved individuals. A typical day, your work with this team might include:

  • Motivating, training and leading a team of Specialists located across the state.
  • Providing strategic direction and support for events, public engagements and fundraising to further the organization’s goals to support NH Youth.
  • Oversee operational and reporting needs to meet requirement of foundational and federal grants.
  • Continue building relationships with community partners and develop new relationships to maximize Youth opportunities.
  • Support the Executive Director in strategic organizational growth.

Please reach out if you have many of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in non-profit fundraising and development.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple, competing priorities.
  • Strong time management understanding in order to manage the traditional school day, as well as non-traditional hours.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout New Hampshire.

YOUTH SPECIALISTS

The primary responsibility of JAG Youth Specialists is to initiate, organize, and implement an Out-of-School training and employment program for eligible youth. JAG OSY Youth Specialists work in collaboration with community partners and employers to serve eligible youth ages 16-24 who are interested in a meaningful healthcare career pathway. Specialists arrange for training and paid work experiences while providing the appropriate mentoring and community linkages necessary to overcome barriers. Program locations are Cheshire and Belknap Counties.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or related field preferred.  Able to work effectively and efficiently with youth, educators, NH Works partners and employers.

FISCAL MANAGER

We are looking for a Fiscal Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for daily management of the organization’s financial and administrative systems. A day in this role may include:

  • Managing accounts payable, accounts receivables, and general ledger
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts, bank statements, and grant funds
  • Processing weekly & biweekly payroll and maintaining employee records
  • Maintaining employee benefits and company-related insurance policies
  • Compiling and verifying financial data for annual audits
  • Assisting with grant applications and reporting requirements
  • Preparing, reviewing, and distributing monthly financial reports
  • Managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules
  • Timely filing of all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Preparing the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Director

If you have the following experience, we would love to talk to you:

  • At least 3 years of progressive accounting management experience
  • Proficient experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), nonprofit funding, and federal grant accounting experience is a plus.
